April Beauty Favourites, Including the best concealer ever at just £6

April Beauty Favourites - StyleBuzzUK

Hey everyone, it's been a while I know, it's just been an extremely busy time for me over the last 6 weeks but I'm back and here to share my latest beauty favourites including a £6 concealer that is quite literally the best I have ever come across and beats any high end one hands down!

First up on my list is the 'YSL all hours foundation' I tried a 7 day sample of this and was instantly hooked, it's a lovely buttery soft liquid foundation that is an absolute pleasure to apply and it does exactly what it says on the tin, it lasts all day long and into the evening without any sign of fading or patchiness. It's a high coverage foundation but the great thing about it is that it doesn't feel heavy at all, it literally feels like a second skin and that exactly how a foundation should be, so top marks to YSL on this one! The other plus with this is that it comes in such a wide range of shades so there is sure to be a shade for everyone. My shade is 'BD50 Warm Honey'.

Next is 'Obsession Conceal Wand' and as I said above, this is truly the best concealer I have ever tried, and at just £6 I'm thrilled! The liquid concealer has a small sponge tip to help with application and that it does; it blends beautifully into the skin with full coverage and no caking at all.
No joke ladies, it literally covers everything and I was absolutely stunned and this product. It beats any high end concealer that I have tried in the past. The only down side to it is the shades that they offer as the 'Warm Medium' that I got it just about ok for my skin at the moment but will be too light in the summer months when I have a tan and the next shade up is way too dark and more suited for black skin tones so a shade in between would be nice but I have an olive skin tone, so if you have lighter skin there are plenty of shades to choose from at that end of the spectrum.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm obsessed with lipstick, it's my must have product and I'm always trying new ones out but I have found my holy grail of lipstick in the form of C.Y.O Matt Lipstick at just £4 it's not only one of the best matte lippies I have tried but it's super long lasting and has amazing shades. My two favourite shades at the moment are 'Stage Dive' which is a bright orange toned red and 'Tunel' which is more of a classic red. I tend to spend most of my day reapplying my lippy so was amazed that I only had to reapply a couple of times throughout the day, mainly after eating lunch but that's normal anyway. Available at Boots CYO Matte Lipstick - Boots

And last but certainly not least is the L'Oreal Paradise Lash Primer, which when used with the Paradise Mascara gives you lusciously long and curly lashes. Just always make sure that you leave the primer to dry like 90% before applying your mascara otherwise it will have no effect at all.

Brit Awards 2018 Best Dressed & Highlights

I don’t know about you but I absolutely love the Brit Awards, a celebration of home grown British music artists and iconic performances that will stay implanted in your mind for years to come, in my opinion it’s best music awards show around by far and last night did not disappoint, with performances from Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheran, Rag ‘n’ Bone man, Dua Lipa, Liam Gallagher and of course Stormzy who stole the show with his performance at the end of the night.. singing ‘God’s grace’ in the pouring rain was goose bump inducing but he then went into a rap and called out Theresa May on the Grenfell tragedy and the fact that the government has still not helps hundreds of the victims who are still without permanent homes. It was definitely one of those performances that will be remembered as an Iconic Brits performance.

On a lighter note, the Haim sisters were certainly enjoying the night and made the most of the free booze, well one sister in particular anyway .. Este Haim was sat behind Cheryl and Liam and was clearly a few shades to the wind which made hilarious viewing but she tweeted around an hour later that she wasn’t drunk and just living her truth…. She was totally drunk!! See clip below.

Damon Albarn was another one that was visibly intoxicated as he accepted the award for his group; The Gorillaz, he had a good old rant about Brexit it, then swore before the mic was switched off.

Everyone looked amazing but I think that Dua Lipa stole the show in this pink number which I couldn't actually decide if I loved or hated it at first glance, but the jury is in and I think it's fab!

Rita Ora went surprisingly sophisticated with her long white gown and kept her make up really simple.

Girl of the moment Camilla Cabello looked a dream her baby blue sheer floaty gown

Holly Willoughby looked stunning as always.. does she ever have a bad day?!

Baby Spice Emma Bunton sizzled in her black PVC number

Stormzy looked so dapper in his suit.. love it!

Unfortunately I couldn't find a decent quality video of his performance on YouTube but if you missed it last night, you must watch it on catch up!

This season it's all about Girl Power Slogan Tee's!

With the announcement of the Spice Girls reunion/new material on it's way .. everyone seems to be in full on girl power mode and our clothes are also reflecting that at present.

I have just discovered a fab little online shop named The Style Club and it's feel good 'Girl Power' vibes all the way... I love it!!

All of their pieces are about female empowerment and positive messages to young females all over and to top it off, everything is purse friendly with most tees costing $20.

One of their stand out pieces for me is this edgy little 'Girl Power' T- Shirt in vibrant yellow, and my lovely pal Pebbles 'Perri' Reid; Singer, Visionary & Manager of the mega R&B girl group TLC also fell in love with it when I posted it on my Instagram account and has ordered one too.. now that's mega girl power and I cant wait to be twinning with her in such a positive way.

They also do a 'Female Empowerment Pack' for $58 which includes these fab slogan tee's below and I just adore this 'We are all human' tee, which is a reminder I think us women all need from time to time!

Another great item is this 'Boss Babe' bomber jacket $39

So get yourselves over to TheStyleClub girls and lets all spread the message of female empowerment and positivity!

Interview with DJ Ironik. We talk the new album, Snoop and embrassing music taste!

DJ Ironik is probably most famous for his collab with Elton John on his remix of 'Tiny Dancer' which reached number 3 in the charts back in 2008 as well as other hits including ' Stay with me' and 'I wanna be your man' but after a nasty mugging incident in 2010 which left him in hospital, he took a break from making music and concentrated on his DJing instead but he is back in the spotlight with a new album 'Truth be told' which is top notch and includes collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Ayo Beatz and Big Tobz to name just a few.

I chatted to Ironik about the album and those collabs, plus his most embarrassing music taste!

StyleBuzz: I'm loving the new album ‘Truth be Told’ what was the inspiration behind it?
Ironik: Thank you, I appreciate that. I just felt it's my most honest work yet lyric wise, and the music process, recording in my home studio again, not a fancy massive studio and also making the music I wanted to make. My music has always been a lot slower and laid back but this time I wanted to make the music I listen to a lot in the car, or partying and have fun with it. So it's a truthful album to me, and it was just about the right time to release it I think.

StyleBuzz: Favourite track from the album?
Ironik: My favourite changes daily lol, I’d have to say right now it's the current single were promoting WATCH NUTTIN featuring Ayo Beatz.

StyleBuzz: You have collaborated and worked with the likes of Elton John, Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk and more recently Snoop Dogg and Big Tobz on the new album, but who else would you like to work with in the future?
Ironik: I'm always up for working with artists you wouldn't expect me to ever work with, like the Elton John's or Snoop Dogg, so I think next a Rock collaboration could be cool. Kings of Leon or The Kooks. Or even slow it down a bit more and work with Adele or Alicia Keys would be amazing. I'm also a massive fan of Drake so that would be cool. I also really love all the new artists from the UK J Hus, Not3s, Kojo Funds etc, would be great to work with some of them.

StyleBuzz: How did the collab with Snoop come about?
Ironik: A lot of my collaborations have come about spontaneously if I'm honest, like the Jessica Lowndes (90210). My manager was working in LA on a project with Ray J (who is cousins with Snoop) and he had the Snoop Dogg vocals just around on the computer and randomly kindly offered us to use them as he knew we was working on the album, so we had to get permission from the big man himself and he loved the record and idea after, then we were releasing it.

StyleBuzz: What artists did you listen to growing up?
Ironik: I listened to a lot of UK based artists, from Wiley, to So Solid Crew and Dizzee Rascal, and even before then listening to a lot of garage music, Craig David, Artful Dodger, DJ Luck and MC Neat etc. Those were big influences on my career I'd say.

StyleBuzz: Being a DJ and rapper you are cooler than cool but we all have that one embarrassing track we absolutely love in our music library, you know the kind that would make you lose all your street cred ha ha …what is yours?
Ironik: Haha thank you. That's a tough one, I'd have to say 'Backstreet Boys - Backstreet's Back' - I used to absolutely love that song growing up so I recently added it back to my music library haha.

The album 'Truth be told' is available now on iTunes  and Spotify and you can follow Ironik on twitter @DJIronik and on Insta at @DJIronik

Heidi Klum looked fab at the New York Gala last night

Heidi Klum stepped out looking phenomenal at last night's New York Gala.

Wearing an amazing structured dress by one of my favourite designers Zuhair Murad and simple but elegant strappy heels by British stylist turned shoe designer, Neil J Rodgers.

The amfAR Gala New York serves as the unofficial kick-off to New York Fashion Week and honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Chrissy Teigen shares embarrassing Beyonce moment on the Tonight Show

I adore Chrissy Teigen so much!! I love her straight up attitude and fabulous sense of humour and she displayed these qualities perfectly on last night's 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon where she spoke about her pregnancy and her embarrassing exchange with Beyoncé at the Grammy's.

Pregnant with her second child, she was positively glowing! Wearing a rather racy red silk and lace slip dress and a fabulous red blazer by Syland and a natural glowly make up look.

Watch the interview here ..

Paris Hilton transforms herself into Kim Kardasian for Yeezy's new line

Kim Kardashian's long time BFF and former boss Paris Hilton transformed herself into a clone of Kim for Kanye's 'Yeezy' season 6 campaign and the resemblance was uncanny!! With silver toned platinum blonde hair, Kim's signature smokey eye look and wearing a sports bralette and jogging bottoms she looked like the ultimate clone of her old pal.

The clever marketing ploy was to encourage others to try the copy cat look and make it seem more achievable to obtain Kim's style and beauty. Kanye is a smart cookie!

Paris tweeted that it was so much fun being a Kim Clone and they had a twitter exchange/love in earlier today ....

Pictured back in the day when Paris Hilton was at the height of fame and Kim K was just her assistant... oh how the tables have turned!

Jsky 'Myself' single launch!

Fashionista, blogger, reality TV star, singer and all round lovely guy, Jsky held a launch for his new single 'Myself' in Manchester last week and I was gutted that I couldn't make it, but he very kindly gave me the low down on the evening which in his own words was an amazing night!

The event was held at one of Manchester's popular celeb hang outs, Club Liv. He was joined by celeb friends, Chanelle McCleary, Laura Alicia, DJ Sarah Giggle, Sam Chaloner and Stefan Gumbes to name just a few, all there to support him.

Written by Jsky and produced by house legend Damon Hess, 'Myself' is an up beat catchy club tune. Built upon a series of mantra's and positive affirmations coupled with a killer drop, it's hard to resist a hook that screams out quite literally to be in love with yourself and is all about accepting and loving yourself for who you are.

“Self love is not selfish, it is self full… because when you fill yourself first anything that overflows is for others”. - Jsky

'Myself' is available now from ITunes and on Spotify and follow Jsky on Instagram and Twitter @jskychat

How to make 2018 your most positive year ever!

Happy New Year to you all!

Feeling the January blues already? It can be a bit of a sad time when the buzz of Christmas is all over with, the decorations are down and the house looks all bare and boring, mix that with the fact that nobody really does anything in January and it seems like a total come down BUT here's how to make 2018 your best and most positive year ever .. yes even the month of January!

Make time for yourself
This is the most important one and January is the perfect time for this as we all have a lot more spare time on our hands suddenly, get some early nights and try a new work out to get you off to a great start health wise, it doesn't have to be anything to strenuous, it could be yoga or pilates which will help not only keep your physical self healthy and in good shape but your mind also.

1. Get some more sleep (even if it's just an extra hour a few times a week)
2. Make time to pamper yourself at least once a week, whether it be a DIY facial at home, a trip to the nail bar or simply and nice bubble bath.
3. Take the time to relax more, this could be reading, meditation, listening to music or just being with the people that you love.
4. Set aside time to do the things that make you truly happy, and do this once a week, or more if possible?
5. Switch off from social media more often. I know that this is a tricky one and I'm one if the worst people for spending too much time on social media but taking a break from it, even if just for a day, it really does make a difference and help you focus on what's important, i.e. yourself, family and friends.

Surround yourself with positivity and laughter
Cut out anything or anyone that make you feel unhappy, this is a bold move as we can sometimes feel tied down to certain situations or people but just remember that this is YOUR LIFE and you have to do what makes you happy, you owe it to yourself. Surround yourself with only those that lift you higher and bring out the best in you.

Watch funny movies, YouTube clips or programmes, you know the ones that make you LOL and instantly lift your mood. I've found that if I watch something funny on the way to work in the morning, it really sets me up for a great morning.

Listen to your favourite music, create a playlist that will put a spring in your step. Music is such a powerful mood enhancer so if you don't already, make it part of your daily routine.

Smile!
This may seem obvious, but the more you smile the better you feel! Even if you don't really feel like smiling, by doing so it releases the feel good hormones in the body which will instantly make you feel more happier! Smile at strangers, it will not only make them feel good but will lift your mood too. Plus studies prove that we all look 100% more attractive when we smile!

Look after yourself from the inside out
We spend so much time as women, making sure that our outer appearance is up to scratch but a lot of us fail to look after ourselves from within! From unhealthy food choices, lack of basic exercise, a little too much Sauvignon Blanc etc (guilty!) and failing to go for basic check ups at the doctors. Make 2018 the year that you fully look after the whole package and give your body the love and care that it deserves.
Eat more fruit and veg, drink more water, rest when you are tired and just listen to your body in general, trust me you will be glowing from the inside out and not only feel better but look it too.

Don't be so hard on yourself
How often do you berate yourself for something that you have done wrong or forgotten to do etc or about how you look? We've all done it, but moving forward.. try to be mindful and take note of your inner voice and the way that you are talking to yourself.. would you talk to other people in this way, chances are no you wouldn't so use the same kindness and understanding on yourself in the way that you would with others. We are all human and all make mistakes etc, nobody is perfect!

Practice gratitude
So often we take things for granted and forget just how blessed we are. Each day think about all the things that you are grateful for in your life however small, i.e. 'I am grateful for this delicious frothy coffee' or the glorious hot water in your morning shower etc, it sounds a little ridiculous at first and you are probably thinking well these are just every day items that everyone has access to but it's not the case and the more that you appreciate the little (and big) things in your life i.e. friends, family, home etc then the more positive your life will become.

Dance!
How good does dancing make you feel? pretty amazing right? well we should all do it more often and I'm not talking about going out clubbing once a week, I'm talking about dancing like nobody is watching i.e. in your living room/bedroom.. really letting lose and getting lost in the music, this for me is one of the best things ever, and I often do this in my living room with my little girl and what an amazing mood lifter it is, trust me give it a go!
Or how about taking up a dance lesson this year i.e. salsa etc? not only will it be incredibly fun but a great work out too!

Ashley Graham sizzles in stunning red dress at Miss Universe 2017

Ashley Graham looked sizzling hot showing off her famous curves in a red Hamel dress as she hosted the Miss Universe 2017 contest in Las Vegas this week. The dress looks like it was made for her and clung to every curve, accentuating her stunning figure.
Hamel is one of my favourite celeb endorsed designers, favoured by the likes of JLO, Sophia Vergara and Kate Beckinsale to name just a few. The fashion house was created by Melina Harris with her intention being to develop designs that would not only project and inspire eternal beauty for all women that wear her designs but to bring her visions to life that would illuminate the female figure by focusing on the elegance of a woman's shape and curves, and that; it certainly does!

For more info on Hamel head over to the website Hamel.com and check out so of her other designs below, just stunning!

Get the look for less - Meghan Markle's Engagement outfit!

We were all thrilled the hear the news that our favourite prince (well mine anyway) Prince Harry had popped the question to the lovely Meghan Markle and the interview with them both was just so adorable, looking totally in love and excited for their future together. Harry even said that his mother; the beautiful Diana would have adored Meghan and that they would have been the best of friends .. pass me the tissues! The engagement ring itself was designed by Harry using some of Diana's diamonds which in his words 'meant that she would be there with them on their journey'

The actress, 36, stuck to a simple and elegant look in a belted white coat by Canadian brand Line The Label, and a £437 dark green dress by Parosh, but you can get the look for a lot less on the highstreet ladies, minus the huge sparkler of course!

This white belted duster coat is just £18 from http://www.boohoo.com which is also available in other colours FYI

This dark green dress by Warehouse is currently £46 from House of Fraser and is a pretty good match to Meghan's.
So there you have it ladies, the total copycat look for just £64, now all you have to do is work on bagging yourself a prince, although we are all out of them in this country so better head abroad (any excuse eh!).
